St. Wenceslas Wine Festival at Loket Castle

The first weekend of October at Loket Castle will be all about wine, music and a great atmosphere.

Visitors can look forward to 27 winemakers from across the Czech Republic, offering a wide selection of wines to taste and purchase. The atmosphere of the wine festival will be complemented by live music in the castle courtyard and below the castle.

Cimbálová muzika Lália and Stan & Tony Revival will perform in the castle courtyard, while HOW-WADA and guitarist Mr Borský will play below the castle. Visitors can also enjoy a variety of market stalls, fun competitions for adults and, weather permitting, the popular bottle rodeo.

The wine festival will begin on Saturday, 3 October, at 10:00 and continue until 20:00. On Sunday, 4 October, the programme will run from 10:00 to 17:00. A free shuttle service will also be available on the route Karlovy Vary – Loket – Staré Sedlo – Sokolov for convenient travel to and from the event.

Tickets are already on sale, and it pays to buy them in advance.

• Advance tickets are cheaper than tickets purchased at the event – adults pay CZK 170, children and seniors CZK 130, and a family ticket costs CZK 480.

At the event, admission is CZK 220 for adults, CZK 180 for children and seniors, and CZK 620 for a family ticket. Tickets can be purchased online or at the Loket Castle ticket office.

Come and spend the first weekend of October in Loket, taste wines from different regions of the Czech Republic and enjoy a combination of excellent wine, live music and the unique atmosphere of the historic castle.
